Dr. Kerri is an evidence-based chiropractor located in Mira Mesa. She believes in addressing the problems that matter to patients. She grew up in San Diego and has always considered it to be home. She was very active growing up, playing soccer and softball. Unfortunately, she is also very clumsy and suffered more than her fair share of injuries. She knows what it is like to live with chronic pain stemming from old injuries.
She attended UC Davis for her undergraduate degree, earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology. While at UCD, she played rugby and did Polynesian dancing. In her 3rd and 4th years in college, she completed physical therapy internships in both inpatient and outpatient settings. It was this experience that fueled her love of treating injuries. After graduating from UCD, she enrolled in a massage therapy program, fulfilling her childhood life plan of becoming a masseuse. She completed her chiropractic education at Palmer College of Chiropractic - West Campus, graduating Salutatorian of her class and received the SACA Student Leadership Award. She served as President of both state and national association campus chapters.
Following graduation, Dr. Kerri moved to Charleston, SC, where she practiced for 2 years before moving back home to San Diego. She completed post graduate training in sports injury, rehab, and prevention in 2020, becoming a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner. Dr. Kerri continues to be involved in numerous professional organizations, fighting for better access to chiropractic care for her patients. She is a proud member of both the American Chiropractic Association and Forward Thinking Chiropractic Alliance.
San Diego Pain and Rehab was founded on the idea that people should be taught how to self manage, rather than be dependent on long term care. Our goal is to get patients out of pain as quickly as possible and give them the tools so that they can confidently live their life without fear of getting injured.
At SDPR, we don’t just look at where the pain is. We want to find the cause of the pain so that we can direct your care to fix the problem, not temporarily mask the pain. Often, it is the daily postures and movements that create long standing pain. We analyze your movements and positions to determine where your treatment should be targeted.
We value the quality of life of everyone we treat. We know not everyone has the same job or same priorities. Our goal is to help you get back to what you love to do, whether that’s competing in an Ironman, traveling the world, or playing with your grandchildren. At SDPR, we want to support you in enjoying your life.
SDPR values the commitment of first responders and military personnel. SDPR offers discounts to active military, law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs with proof of service. We acknowledge that these are physically demanding jobs and want to support those who protect our community.
At this time, SDPR is not credentialed with any insurance companies. For patients who wish to submit claims to their insurance for reimbursement, SDPR provides superbills upon request. SDPR accepts personal injury patients on a lien status. Hardship applications are available for those who may not be able to afford care. Please inquire via phone or email for details of our hardship policies.
